All Dolled Up

For my last evening in London before I headed back to reality, I got dolled up for a night of Les Miserable and good steak. I had been drooling over this dress from Zara all season, trying it on multiple times over the past 2 months. I finally bit the bullet and got it during the Zara end-of-season sale, yay for 20% off! I paired the dress with a high sock bun to emphasize the elegant neckline. I've been loving the sock bun lately - using a folded up sock to add volume to your bun (I learned the technique from Wendyslookbook's video here). It's perfect for hot summer days where you want your hair out of the way, or if your outfit has an interesting neckline you want to draw attention to.

Thanks to a colleague's college friend who is actually in the cast of the musical (how awesome is that!), I got staff price tickets seated at the fourth row from the stage. Amazing experience seeing such a classic so upfront!
