**Hello from London! No Organic Monday post today, instead today's post will be more of my inflight beauty essentials that I took with me on this trip**
I never take a full set of makeup on planes, because my skin tends to get dry and very sensitive after air travel. Instead, I take a few pick-me-ups to bring a little life to my face after the exhaustion of hours in transit.
Clean & Clear Oil Control Film
The dry air on planes leaves my skin dehydrated and therefore nasty and oily... yikes. These blotting are a huge lifesaver for me which I grab for before applying any makeup.
Comb & Mirror
Must-haves that I easily forget to pack, but are the most essential!
Soap & Glory Hand Food
Best hand cream! The lovely scent also doubles up as a light fragrance - no one wants to smell like plane. We don't get Soap & Glory in Hong Kong so I'm glad I'll be able to stock up in London.
Bobbi Brown Concealer Stick
Just in case of any blemishes.
Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in Zero
If I'm directly going somewhere after, eyeliner immediately makes me look more awake and put together. This eyeliner is creamy enough so that I can lightly smudge it with my ring finger to double up as eyeshadow.
Benefit Pocket Pal
This is Benefit's signature lip & cheek stain "Benetint" in a travel-friendly packaging. As this is a liquid stain, it goes onto skin easily even when it's dehydrated. The other end of the pen is a clear gloss that I rarely use on planes since it doesn't apply well onto dry lips.
Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment + Korres Lip Butter Glaze in Jasmine
This lip butter glaze is similar to Clarins Instant Natural Lip Perfector - it adds a glossy finish to the lips with a sheer tint of baby pink color. But although the finish is very pretty and natural, I find that it does not moisturize my lips as much as I thought it would... so I layer it on top of my trusty Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment.
For this trip, I'm packing all these goodies into my Kate Spade makeup bag that my lovely colleagues got me as a farewell gift. I've never owned a fancy makeup bag so I've been very careful to keep it clean and makeup-stain-free!

I love the items you've picked out - I'm dying to try Soap & Glory's hand food. I've heard so much about it and the scent is amazing (or so they say). I'm not really a fan of wearing makeup when I'm on a flight, because I have super dry skin.

I love your little in flight collection, and it looks wonderful in your very pretty new make up bag :) I always have to have an eye liner with me, I feel really quite odd without it lol. Hope you are having fun in London :)

What a perfect little round up! I usually take a NARS Multiple and a stick concealer with me too (I alternate between the Fusion Illumicover and Cle de Peau's concealer). For lip balm I bring Homeoplasmine or Jurlique love balm -- they are flight lifesavers.
ReplyDeleteGreat picks! These are all amazing products and a little gorgeous makeup bag! xx
ReplyDeleteNice! Were you able to take that onboard or did you have to use a plastic bag?
ReplyDeleteI love seeing what people take with them when they travel & especially what they take on a flight. My skin like most peoples gets so dry and often quite red too. Your Korres lipbalm looks great & I dont leave home with out my S&G Hand Food. Its the best.
