I've been in London this week gorging on greasy breakfast, strolling around weekend markets, and most importantly, spending quality time with family. My brother lives and studies in London, so it's not every day that we get to hang out and act silly like we used to as kids.
Since I had already ticked off most of the must-see landmarks last time I was here, I managed to relax and check out a few less touristy spots this time. And unlike my last trip, I finally saw some sun here. Thank you London, I think I've fallen even more in love with you after this trip.
P.S. We're trying to pick out somewhere with good food and a cozy atmosphere for a family meal before our trip ends. UK ladies, any restaurant recommendations?
P.P.S. Can't wait to blog about a few beauty goodies I picked up here... the "unattainables" are always the most exciting ;)

Oh my gosh the houses are so colourful and cute! I want to be able to travel to London some day. The food looks yummy as well :)

You're so lucky to be in London, it is such an amazing city!! Definitely go to Borough Market if you haven't been there yet... and go on an empty stomach because the food is soo delicious! Can't wait to hear more about your trip! xoxo
ReplyDeleteThanks!! I did drop by borough market last time I was here - loved it! Can't wait to share more with you too :))

love that the cute car stopped right in front of the houses, together with the pink floral tree they made an unrealistically cute scene;)
DeleteI'm glad you're liking it! (: The beginning of spring is definitely a great time to be here, since all of the flowers are blooming and the weather's a bit warmer. Glad you saw some sun, too! I know that most people from London can vouch that sunshine is a rarity most times..

Haha indeed... Just after I raved about the sun it started to drizzle again today ;) oh well!
DeleteTry the Breakfast Club in Shoreditch for brunch (the eggs royale are to die for!) Pizza East in Shoreditch is great as well at any time of the day. For something more central, Bodeans (one of my favourites, but book a table as the wait can be two hours) on Poland Street (just behind Oxford St) does great pulled pork and ribs. (as does the Big Easy on the Kings Road). Something fun, google the chain "Wahaca" for Mexican sharing food, very delicious, and I have heard big things about Burger and Lobster, although I've never been patient enough to wait for a table (you may have to wait a while for tables as they both don't take reservations). Oh, and while it's not my favourite Thai restaurant, the chain Busaba Eatthai is a favourite amongst my friends. Hope you enjoy! I can't wait to go back home to London next month!! melanie
ReplyDeleteAhhhh awesome thank you so much! I tried burgers and lobsters and loveeeed it! Will definitely note all these down for future reference :)))
DeleteSuch lovely photographs! <3

Love the tea shots, so regal and fancy. Also what an adorable painting for the house! I've just uploaded my first ever outfit post from Paris Fashion Week! I would say it's Parisian-Provoking-Chic and I credit that to the Céline foulard printed flared trousers, I guarantee you'd be mega provoked ;)
