During my stay in London, I took my mom on a short 2 day getaway to Paris. My mom has been a workaholic her whole life, working non-stop to raise my brother and me. As a result, she has traveled way less than she deserves. It felt so special to be able to take her to see Paris; it was my first time taking my mom on holiday since I've started earning an income. I came up with a simple itinerary to hit up all the classic tourist spots for her to see the city, with enough free time for us to wander and relax. The trip was short and sweet - we strolled along the streets, did a lot of people watching, and of course, ate a lot of pastries and baguettes. We couldn't have asked for a better trip.
As we stood under the Eiffel Tower wrapped in our big coats, mesmerized by the view (looking very much like the typical tourist), she said quietly to herself, "wow, I never thought I'd see this."
Well, mom, buckle up tight. I'm going to take you to see the world! <3
P.S. "Organic Monday" posts will be on hold for now, as in the coming few
weeks I'll be a crazy lady moving my entire life across countries, and
it's getting hard for me to commit to a weekly schedule. However I did
pick up a few exciting new products on this trip and can't wait to share them with you all very soon!

Me and my mum have a tradition now of going to Paris in September together. I think it's a lovely place for mums and daughters to go, not just couples! And it made it even lovelier that you managed to treat her to it :). Your pictures are amazing! xx

ReplyDeleteStunning photos! I can't wait to go to Paris soon..my friend from back in New York is coming to visit in a few weeks, and it'll be both our first times seeing the city!
ReplyDeleteI also understand completely about what you say about wanting to treat your mom, especially since she hasn't seen as much of the world as she should. I think the exact same of my mom..she's never left the States! I can't wait to be able to take her on holiday someday..
Hope you're having a great time on your travels! (:
