I'm back in Hong Kong! Despite a canceled transfer flight and delayed luggage (I spent 4 hours in the San Francisco airport waiting for my bags), I am so glad to just finally be home. I was also very fortunate to make it back Saturday night, right before "the strongest storm on earth" this year shut down Hong Kong's airport this Sunday.
Hong Kong is 15 hours ahead of Los Angeles, meaning I've been wide awake at 5 am (good morning!), and dozing off around 5 pm. Is it weird that I secretly find jetlag fun?
Back in Hong Kong means good food (home-cooked meals and soups!). My mom was super sweet and saved me my favorite mini mooncakes for breakfast (picture above). It's made of a cake like shell with sweet egg custard inside. Yum!

I've almost forgotten how hot and humid Hong Kong is. The severe humidity is definitely putting my trusty Lancome Hypnose Drama to the test - it ain't holding the curl so well now. Perhaps the waterproof formula would work better?
