Sometimes I want products I know I don't need (Dior Rosy Glow blush, Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in "Cherry" and Chanel Les Beige, to name a few) - and apart from a few exceptions (*ahem* guilty impulse purchases), most often they'll forever stay on my not-now wishlist. Then there are other times I sample or read about a product that I know I'll get a lot of use out of, and I'll instantly add it to my to-buy list. I recently made 3 long overdue purchases - they topped my to-buy list for the longest time and I'm glad that I've finally brought them home!
Being a huge lip balm junkie, I can't believe I have not heard of the Lanolips line till recently. I've been running low on my original Fresh Sugar Lip balm and Clarins Instant Lip Perfector, and the Lanolips 101 Ointment seems like a good combination of the 2 (the moisture of Fresh plus the glossiness of Clarins). After having stopped and stared at the gorgeous Lanolips display in stores multiple times, I finally decided to bite the bullet and bring this baby home. I'll write a full review on this once I try it out a bit more.
I recently sampled the Aesop Chamomile Concentrate Anti-Blemish Masque during a bad skin week and absolutely loved it. It works great as an overnight spot treatment but also gives skin an effective yet mild deep cleanse when used all over. I like that it's not as drying as my Fresh Umbrian Clay Mattifying Mask. I had been meaning to pick up the full size for a while now, I only wish it came in a mess-free squeezy tube like the Parsley Seed Mask.
Last but not least, I've finally run out of my favorite Laura Mercier Mineral Powder (review), one of my best 2013 makeup discoveries thanks to Ellie. Finishing up an entire tub of loose powder is quite a proud moment I must say. After a week of desperately trying to tap out the last few specks of product, I'm dipping into this new one tomorrow morning!
