How is it only Thursday still? This has been the longest week, and apart from serious exhaustion, I have also been feeling majorly out of balance, living on a work-sleep-work-sleep schedule, and keeping my spirits up only with sugar and caffeine. I am very much looking forward to the weekend for some long awaited boyfriend time (yes, he's coming home again!), a nice long brunch, possibly a Sunday hike. It's also been forever since I've read a book...
Keeping up with the desperation and negativity, here are 3 products that I'm also feeling slightly negative about. They're not terrible, but simply products that I feel like do not live up to my expectations, especially since they've been long acknowledged winners in the beauty community.
I've given the infamous Urban Decay Primer Potion so many chances - from the samples that come with Naked Palettes, to purchasing a full size tube to really test it out. I really wanted to like this! I know many girls love this but it just does not work for me. Too little of it barely does anything, while adding a bit more causes the product itself to crease. That being said, I do think that the UDPP will forever hold a special place in my heart, because it was the first ever primer product I learned about. #lifechanging
Then there's the Garnier Eye Roll-On. Photographed is the newest brightening version, but again over the years I have tried all 3 versions of this - the original roll on, BB concealer-roll on, and most recently this brightening version. I love the idea of a cool and refreshing eye roll-on, but if I'm completely honest these don't really do much for me. The brightening version also strangely irritated my eyes. 3 strikes, you're out Garnier.
Last but not least, Chanel Glossimers were once my favorite lip glosses, but in recent years I've discovered so many amazing alternatives (case in point, Lancome Gloss in Loves!) that have left Glossimers pretty lacking in comparison. Glossimers are gorgeous and luxurious, but they are a bit too goopy for my liking. Overall, not worth the price.
