March has always been my least favorite month of the year. Not only are there no public holidays, there's also not much to look forward to. This year however, March has been usually kind to me, packed with good food and happy times. I'm also very excited that the weather is finally warming up in Hong Kong. As much as I hate the stickiness and humidity, I'd choose the heat over the cold any day.
Beauty wise it's been a month of trying new products as well as re-discovering old ones. The NARS Pro-Prime Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base has been the winner of the month - I've finally found an eye primer that actually works its magic on me! It works so well on both powder and cream eyeshadows. Speaking of cream eyeshadows, the one that I've been reaching for almost every day has been MAC Paint Pot in "Groundwork." It's the best one-swipe-wonder product I've come across, adding subtle contouring to the eye. It's so easy that I find myself not wanting to reach for any of my other eyeshadows!
March was also the month I discovered a new favorite lip gloss formula - the Lancome Gloss in Loves. After discovering shade 202 (review), I went back for shade 383 (review), which has become my favorite of the 2. The only complaint I have is the button snap closure of the tube which easily comes undone in purses - I just experienced my first lip gloss explosion yesterday...
If you're looking for a barely there rosy blush, Chanel Joues Contraste in Rose Petale is the one for you. It's far less pigmented than most of my blushes, but for work days I actually prefer a muted blush color to add just some life to my 8am morning face. Very subtle, yet very pretty.
My final favorite of the month is Bruno Mars. He's one of my favorite musicians, so being able to watch his first ever concert in Hong Kong last night felt like checking off a major bucket list item for me! His albums are great, but his live performance was way more amazing. Best concert I've ever been to! Ever since his concert I've been looping his Unorthodox Jukebox album all weekend.
And then comes April - who's ready for Spring? :)
