Spring Things

After a gloomy week of rain and thunderstorms, Hong Kong is finally getting some much needed sunshine today! A sunny Saturday does make everything feel a whole lot cheerier. So to celebrate, I pulled out my brand new Bath & Body Works Pink Lemonade Pound Cake candle (sweet yet refreshing, an amazing pick by the boyfriend), made myself a cup of tea, and enjoyed a morning of doing absolutely nothing.

I am loving these Jasmine Green Tea tea bags that a Taiwanese friend brought over for us last month. It's still a bit chilly, so the iced teas and lemonades will have to wait - it's green tea time still! (I say that, but really, in my mind it's green tea time all year round)

In the beauty department, spring calls for MAC's Beauty Powder in "Pretty Baby," a sheer peachy pink all-over face powder. It's one of those "I-don't-see-it-on-my-face-but-I-do-look-better" type of products that just magically enhances your complexion, creating a blushy type of radiance. I love that it goes on silky smooth, and doesn't cling onto dry spots.

For hands, I've been reaching for my Loccitane Pivoine Delicate Hand Cream, a gift from my boyfriend's mom who has the best taste in hand cream. It's light and airy, perfect for warmer days. The peony scent is heavily floral, which might not be for everyone, but I have become slightly addicted to it - it reminds me of a meadow full of flowers, very reminiscent of spring.

The rest of my weekend will be spent reading Miranda Kerr's "Treasure Yourself." I've had the book for a year now, but never really got to finishing it. Since it's filled with positivity and hopefulness, the beginning of spring feels like the best time to pick up where I left off.

What are you loving for spring?
